Welcome to the 3rd Lawang Sewu International Symposium on Engineering and Applied Sciences (3rd-LEWIS-EAS), an annual international symposium held by Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang . This year, the symposium will take place online via Zoom on November 27, 2024, in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia.
The 3rd-LEWIS-EAS is intended to provide a forum for lecturers, professionals, researchers, and students to collaborate, explore opportunities, and exchange valuable insights to shape a sustainable future through cutting-edge innovations and dynamic discourses in technology. Studies focused on engineering sciences are welcome. Submitted papers must meet criteria including originality, novelty, and not having been previously published, and must be written in English.
The symposium will feature main speakers, invitees, and oral sessions. To increase the dissemination and visibility of research findings, accepted papers will be published in online Proceedings.

The conference will be held online via teleconference zoom meeting. To prepare the virtual conference, we please you to prepare your PowerPoint. Each paper will be given 10 minutes (for presentation and Q&A). At least one author has to join the live virtual session to answer questions.

The Lawang Sewu International Symposium (LEWIS) on Engineering and Applied Sciences has become a prestigious event promoting global knowledge exchange and collaboration in the fields of engineering and applied sciences. In its first edition, 1 st LEWIS addressed the theme “Recent Challenges in Engineering and Technology in Post-Pandemic COVID-19” held on November 30 th, 2022. The event garnered widespread attention by featuring thought leaders from various countries who discussed the latest challenges in engineering and technology post-pandemic. The rich discussions and informative presentations provided deep insights into how industry and academia can adapt and innovate amidst rapid global changes.

Building on the success of the first event, 2nd LEWIS was held on November 29, 2023, with the theme “Unleashing the Power of Innovations and Discourses in Sustainable Technology.” This second symposium featured a broader array of speakers and participants, focusing on the power of innovation and discussions in sustainable technology. The event not only highlighted the latest sustainable solutions and innovations but also strengthened international networks and partnerships, paving the way for closer collaboration and sustainable progress in the future.
