“Advances in Diagnostic Laboratory Sciences and Technology.”
Leading academic scientists, researchers, professionals and research scholars will be gathered at the 2nd Lawang Sewu International Symposium 2023 in order to exchange experiences and research findings on all every aspect of the conference. It also gives researchers, practitioners, and educators a premier interdisciplinary forum to present and discuss the most recent advancements, concerns, and trends as well as real-world difficulties and challenges encountered and solutions chosen in the areas of medical laboratory sciences.
The 2nd Lawang Sewu International Symposium 2023 on Medical Laboratory Sciences for the Medical Laboratory Sciences scope this year theme is Advances in Diagnostic Laboratory Sciences and Technology. Symposium will be held on 04 December, 2023 in Semarang, Central Java Indonesia by online. Studies focused on medical laboratory sciences tests/diagnostics are welcome. The papers should be written in English and must meet the criteria including originality, novelty, not yet published.
The 2nd Lawang Sewu International Symposium 2023 on Medical Laboratory Sciences program will feature main speaker, invited speakers and oral presentation sessions. The accepted papers will be published in Atlantis Press Proceedings.
Professor Mohd Nazil bin Salleh is a Deputy of Vice Chancellor (Academic & International). He was the first Malaysian academician and researcher credentialed as a Chartered Scientist by the Science Council from Institute of Biomedical science (IBMS), UK in 2014. He has contributed tremendously to the development of the Health Sciences bridging program. He is currently advisor for Biomedical profession in the Malaysia. He has been involved in more than 20 years teaching experiences in the Biomedical Programme at the undergraduate and postgraduate Levels.

Peer Review Process
The manuscripts submitted online to the 2nd Lawang Sewu Internasional Symposium on Health Sciences: Medical Laboratory Technology will be peer-reviewed. The practice of peer review aims to ensure the quality of articles published in this symposium. The reviewers in our symposium play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the symposium.
Initial manuscript evaluation (Pre-Review)
The editor first evaluates all manuscripts. Manuscripts that are rejected at this stage are not sufficiently original, have serious scientific deficiencies, have poor grammar or English (abstract), or fall outside the purpose and scope of the symposium. The pre-review process is carried out by the editor using the manuscript readiness form. Manuscripts that meet the minimum criteria are usually forwarded to at least two experts for review. The manuscript is reviewed by the reviewers that are assigned based on their expertise.
Reviewer reports
Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript: meets urgency and novelty, uses good research or review methods, follows appropriate ethical guidelines, presents research or review claims that have novelty, has results that are presented clearly and support conclusions.
Editor’s decision
The final decision of the manuscript (accepted, accepted with minor revision, accepted with major revision, or rejected) is made by Editor in Chief (together with Editorial Board is required for consideration) based on the reviewers’ critical comments.
Final report
A final report of the decision whether to accept or reject the manuscript will be sent to the author along with any recommendations made by the reviewers that may include verbatim comments from the reviewers.

The symposium will be held online via teleconference zoom meeting. To prepare the virtual conference, we please you to prepare your PowerPoint. Each paper will be given 10 minutes (for presentation and Q&A). At least one author has to join the live virtual session to answer questions.
